    Superb

Room was spacious and comfortable. Excellent bathroom.

Person at reception was surly and uncivil. Worst reception ever at a Booked.net hotel

    Fabulous

The staff were very friendly and helpful the rooms were clean and the food was lovely. There isn't slot to do around hindhead but is perfect if your just looking to relax for a few days.

    Very good

The room was excellent, very spacious and clean as was the bathroom. The breakfasts are generous and very good.

It would have been good to have a wider ranging dinner menu.

Nothing - cold room in need of cleaning and refurbishment

    Nothing apart from location

The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. The shower above the bath was lovely.

The room (we booked a four poster bed as a romantic night away) had a strange musty smell about it, the windows in the bathroom had all meldew over them and the spa bath didn't work. The room itself was tried looking and in need of redecorating. The food was ok but nothing special, my partner wanted the rib eyed steak but that was off the menu the night we stayed so we settled for the steak and ale pie which was suppose to be special but it was not.

    Good

Friendly staff, clean room and reasonable breakfast.

Previous nights ash and glasses not collected until nearly midday.

    Very good

It was convenient when attending a memorial service at a local school, thus saving a punishing return trip in the same day.

The traffic noise, but this will change when the Hindhead tunnel and by- pass is opened later this year.

    Very good

We were looking for good value and found it without sacrificing quality. The hotel was fine for an overnight stay and the room was good. We had a half-board package and the evening meal choices were good given the low cost of the package. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Without the traffic which now uses the tunnel at Hindhead, the hotel was very quiet.

Or room on the second floor had a very poor radiator (needed bleeding) but we were provided with an electric heater which more than compensated.

The hotel has seen better days, everything was old and shabby. Most ceilings are stained or have been patched with plasterboard. The main thing it did have in its favour was the quality of the food.

Staff quick and willing to change room when a problem occurred.

Slightly worn out fittings, eg. Window catches. First room given had discoloured ceiling but staff quick to change rooms.

    Good

Good location at entrance to Hindhead Common which is owned by the National Trust. The staff tried their best and were,in the main, very helpfull and friendly.

The whole hotel had a "tired"feeling about it and was long overdue a facelift. The plaster in the bedroom and ceiling of my room was cracked and peeling in places. What ruined the stay was the allocation of a room directly over the bar area, the noise for my companions kept them awake for a good part of the night. When i mentioned this when checking out I received a very unsympathetic matter of fact reply. Surely a simple Q and A when booking would sort this out so that the revellers and those simply requiring a restful nights sleep could be roomed appropriately.

    Very good

Convient for local areas and value for money. Used for on-route travelling to West Country. Comfortable, basic, clean hotel with friendly staff.

Workmen starting work in Hotel at 8.00.

The Ringwood beer in the bar, then once someone tuned up for work in the morning we could leave as we were locked in.

The rooms had been recently decorated and still stank of paint, the bathroom was shabby and dirty. The wash basin was cracked in several places, no toiletries provided. My party needed to get out early as we were on a bike ride, we struggled to get breakfast for 0730hrs and the staff were no around until 0740hrs and when we questioned the staff all we got was a shrug and a look of, nothing to do with me. The cold breakfast we received was very, very minimal.

Evening meal very good, staff helpful and attentive.

Room basic as expected, however general cleaning of room and bathroom was sub standard ( toilet and shower head left unclean) reported to cleaning staff but no action taken by staff. Breakfast fair first morning but second morning was inedible looked has if the food was from first morning

    Fabulous

Unpretentious and a bit old-fashioned, but with cheerful, helpful staff and clean, simple, comfortable rooms. Good beer and wine in the bar, and good, solid menu which, like the hotel, delivered what it promised.

Carpets in corridors, tiles and grouting in bathroom etc are ageing a bit and could do with a refresh, but everything was clean.
